Work Detail Tigo Energy, Inc., a leading provider of smart solar and energy software solutions, has recently completed the installation and activation of a rooftop solar system at its California headquarters. The system, executed by Tigo’s trusted installation partner Laibach Solar, has demonstrated an impressive average energy recovery rate of 5% since its launch. Laibach Solar, an employee-owned solar installation company based in Northern California, has been collaborating with Tigo since 2018, focusing on delivering premium-quality modules at competitive prices. The setup comprises 180 Tigo TS4-AO MLPE devices, Tigo Access Points (TAPs), and Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) data logging devices. Despite the shading obstacles presented by existing roof features, the 90kW system design, featuring 180 500W solar modules and Solectria inverters, persevered. Tigo’s proprietary technology ensures minimal shading impact on system performance, enhanced by Tigo energy recovery tech. Additionally, Tigo gains module-level monitoring and advanced rapid shutdown safety features, prioritizing the safety of solar professionals, building maintenance staff, and first responders. Laibach Solar and Tigo Energy utilize the Tigo Energy Intelligence monitoring platform for comprehensive oversight of their installations. This platform enables Tigo to monitor energy recovery, shading, and offer optimization suggestions for peak efficiency. Through the Tigo Energy Intelligence Portal, detailed insights into energy recovery and losses due to shading mismatches are provided. Under optimal conditions, Tigo’s headquarters rooftop system is projected to recover an average of approximately 14kWh of electricity daily on sunny days. Jing Tian, ??chief growth officer at Tigo Energy, said, “I would like to thank the Laibach Solar team for their excellent system design and high-quality installation, especially in overcoming the tricky issues of shading and permitting restrictions at the same time. With the setup we have today, our solar output is optimized to give us the highest possible yield in the form of energy recovery, which helps us to continuously reduce our demand for electricity from the grid. This system is exactly what a commitment to total quality solar principles can produce. “ Dejan Obradovic, owner of Laibach Solar, said, “We have used Tigo’s products on many projects over the years due to the quality of their products and their design flexibility. Being able to design a system for Tigo’s headquarters and utilizing their We are very pleased that our technology has overcome the shading limitations imposed by the partition wall structure. As a solar installation company, this system is obviously our masterpiece, but there is no doubt that it is also a lot of pressure for us, which is why We will be using the Energy Intelligence monitoring platform and Tigo EI Professional to monitor operations. Tigo has been a great partner for us in our solar business and we look forward to continuing to provide customers with great software and a shared commitment to quality for many years to come. Solar energy business empowerment.”
