The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) has issued a call for bids to secure 500 MW of wind-solar hybrid power from grid-connected intrastate projects on a long-term basis, with an option for an additional 500 MW.
The deadline for bid submission is April 4, 2024, with bid opening scheduled for the same day.
The cost of the bidding documents is ?25,000 and the bid processing fee is ?15 lakhs.
Bidders will have to furnish an earnest money deposit of ?11 lakh/ MW.
In this tender, a hybrid power project comprises one solar and one wind power component, each with a rated installed capacity of at least 33% of the contracted capacity.
The minimum project size for inter-state projects is 50 MW and above at one site, and for intra-state projects, it’s 10 MW and above at one site.
Projects in progress, awaiting commissioning, or already commissioned without a long-term power purchase agreement are eligible.
Wind turbines must be type-certified models listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Revised List of Models and Manufacturers, while solar photovoltaic modules must be included in MNRE’s List-I.
To reduce risks and guarantee timely power supply initiation, the tender places a strong emphasis on operational and commercially proven technology.
Bidders must have a net worth of at least ?1.1 crore seven days before the bid submission deadline, certified by chartered accountants per MW of quoted capacity.
Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ?82.2 lakh per MW of quoted capacity from the previous fiscal year.
Bidders need an approval letter from lending institutions committing a line of credit of at least ?20.6 lakh/MW for meeting the project’s working capital requirement. |
