Aecom has recruited an award-winning engineer from the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to be senior director of highway engineering in the Canadian province.
Faisal Siddiqui spent 17 years with the ministry, winning numerous awards for engineering excellence.
While there, he led the multi-year project to widen the Trans-Canada Highway to four lanes along the 600km stretch from Kamloops to the Alberta Border.
He also led design and implementation of rapid transit services along Highway 97 between West Kelowna and the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan Campus.
Between 2018 and 2022, he managed design under the Provincial Capital Program with its annual budget of up to C$100m.
He is licensed by the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
