TrinaTracker, a division of Chinas Trina Solar, says its new Vanguard 1P tracker system has a maximum length of 140 meters and can be equipped with N-type modules.
TrinaTracker has developed an improved version of its Vanguard 1P smart tracking solution. The new product has a maximum tracking length of 140 meters and can be equipped with more than 700W of N-type modules.
“The improved model features a state-of-the-art multi-motor system equipped with a rotary drive and a bi-shock absorber system,” the company says in a statement. “Its innovative design facilitates the construction of longer trackers while minimizing oscillation time, avoiding instabilities, improving dynamic response and raising the critical wind speed threshold. The multi-motor function ensures precise tracking in the most difficult conditions.”
The upgraded version has a tracking range of 60 degrees on a single axis in a single row. The steel structure features hot-dip galvanized (HDG), pre-galvanized and zinc-magnesium (ZM) alloy coating.
“The upgraded system greatly increases the efficiency of the installation,” says TrinaTracker. “The introduction of shrink tube technology has effectively halved the time required for tube connections. Additionally, the integration of a patented spherical bearing greatly improves terrain adaptability, making tracker mounting much easier and reducing additional forces caused by misalignment.”
Other improvements include an update to Trina Smart Cloud, which enables greater efficiency with operations and maintenance, along with improved system security. The product tracking algorithm, the SuperTrack Algorithm, has also been modified and improved.
“It has seen significant advancements, expanding its range of application settings while autonomously identifying, training and optimizing, resulting in a marked increase in power output of up to 8%,” the company said. “This additional energy performance is attributed to the combined effect of its two algorithms: STA, which boosts energy generation in cloudy sky conditions, and SBA, specifically designed to reduce shadows between rows on uneven terrain.”
The monitoring solution includes Trinas Smart Controller. It consumes 0.04 kWh per day and has a tracking accuracy of less than 1 degree. It weighs less than 5 kg and can operate at temperatures between -30 ºC and 60 ºC. |
