NTPC Limited has officially announced an invitation for bids for the establishment of a 26 MW Floating Solar PV Project at Reservoir-1B of NTPC Sipat. Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals online through a Single Stage Two Envelope process, which includes a Techno-Commercial Bid and a Price Bid, followed by a Reverse Auction. The comprehensive scope of this project encompasses the detailed design of a Grid Interactive Solar PV Plant, incorporating civil, electrical, and mechanical auxiliary systems. This includes the creation of foundation drawings, single line diagrams, installation drawings, and electrical layouts, among other necessary engineering documents.
The project mandate also covers the development of the Floating Solar PV plant and the power evacuation system, alongside the supply and installation of PV modules. Furthermore, the selected contractor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar PV plant for three years, in addition to an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for critical equipment.
Key activities and services outlined in the bid include basic and detailed engineering, provision and approval of engineering drawings, manufacturing, transportation, site surveys, installation of floaters, construction of inverter rooms, and integration with the grid. Additionally, the contractor will manage module cleaning, remote monitoring through SCADA systems, and comprehensive O&M of the SPV plant.
Bidding documents are available for download with the process set to commence on February 27, 2024, and conclude with the bid submission by March 28, 2024. The initiative, funded through NTPC’s own resources, represents a significant step towards enhancing renewable energy infrastructure in India. |
