Mayor Othar Macharashvili together with Governor Ignacio Torres, this Friday led the act of opening envelopes for the expansion, renovation and refunctionalization work of School No. 704 of Km.3. The local president highlighted the investment for the school, the contribution of companies and that workers return to their jobs in direct and indirect construction, which drives the citys economy. Within the framework of the 123rd Anniversary of Comodoro Rivadavia, the educational community of School No. 704 “Prefectura Naval Argentina”, located on Wagner Street and Quintana Avenue, received the municipal and provincial authorities to carry out the opening ceremony of envelopes of the requested building work. In mid-January, the award of the work that includes the expansion, renovation and refunctionalization of the establishment was carried out, with the aim of responding to a long-standing claim by the educational community. This was put out to tender, which includes the construction of two laboratories (microbiotic and physical-chemical), the renovation of 14 classrooms, the repair of the gym, and the horizontal and vertical demarcation of the space for school vehicles. All sewage, electrical, drinking water and gas facilities, computer and security rooms will also be renovated, with the aim of recovering the full-day educational modality. The event was attended by Vice Mayor Maximiliano Sampaoli; Vice Governor Gustavo Menna; the national deputy José Glinski; and the director of the educational establishment, Lorna Cárcamo; in addition to members of the municipal cabinet, provincial officials, councilors and educational authorities. In this context, the provincial and municipal authorities delivered contributions and goods from the Social Assistance Institute (IAS) to different educational institutions in our city. In this regard, the mayor of Comodoro stressed that it is a day to celebrate in this city that turns 123 years old, where we can be together doing this act of opening envelopes of such a heartfelt work, fought for by parents, students and the managers. Due to the technical and political vicissitudes it could not be materialized, and today this reality begins to happen and we have to make it happen.” He predicted that “it will be one of the first of the many institutions with educational equipment to be built in this city and which is so needed. I thank the companies, because it is not easy today to undertake works in the times we are experiencing with this price volatility that we all suffer. This will also bring many of the workers back to their jobs in the direct and indirect construction that drives the citys economy.” Likewise, Macharashvili was happy because “a work that is a school is beginning, with the characteristics of this institution, and that we can begin to move this machine that is so much needed so that the works and production in this city can regain rhythm. ”. “WE ARE GOING TO END THIS SCHOOL” Governor Ignacio Torres highlighted the fact of “concreting the commitments to prioritize education, and in this way we were able to reallocate items to have the funds and carry out this work for Comodoro, Chubut and education.” He questioned that the national government “is exchanging debt tied to inflation, but we are going to continue defending the interests of the people of Chubut and Comodorenses; I dont care who is in the Casa Rosada. We are going to finish this school, classes in Chubut are going to start and we are going to set a precedent.” Finally, Torres celebrated the tender “for a more than important work, and that in these few months we managed to sit down with all the state unions, who understood that education has to be a priority. For this reason, we were able to close a joint agreement with a differential for teachers and advance a bill on teaching professionalism that Córdoba, Santa Fe and two other provinces will replicate today. Chubut is taking the lead on an issue that many relegated, for me it is a deep pride, with educational quality and thinking about a literacy scheme that will exceed our mandates.” EDUCATIONAL QUALITY AND SENSE OF BELONGING The director of the Marine Biology School, Lorna Cárcamo, was grateful for the call from the educational community that “gives us that caress of knowing that we are an important institution in Comodoro Rivadavia, we have been waiting for this moment for a year, sensations intermingle of emotion and anguish because there is part of our building that is going to be demolished, another part that is being built new, but we know that a serious building is going to be built and it will meet the safety conditions that truly reflect the needs of our people. students and the educational proposal.” To conclude, the director asked that “this be the starting point so that we can once again recover that educational quality by which our school has been identified and that sense of belonging that the students have; “Marine Biology is a family.” |
