This was stated by the director of the Renewable Energy Sources base business unit of the Granma Electric Company, Ariel Ovidio Álvarez Suárez, that the implementation of the parks will be done in two stages; Each park will have 20 MW of installed capacity. The first of them, in Bayamo, is in the land preparation phase, an area of ??38 hectares. The other projects will be installed in Río Cauto, Manzanillo and Niquero. The province of Granma currently has six solar plants in operation, totaling 18.7 MW, which covers 15% of the provincial energy demand during peak hours. |
