Sunsure Energy, a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector, has officially signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with KSB Limited, a leading pumps and valves manufacturer headquartered in Pune. The agreements entail the supply of nearly one crore units of green power annually for the next 25 years. Sunsure Energy will establish a dedicated renewable energy project, with KSB Limited as the exclusive beneficiary. This captive renewable energy initiative will cater solely to KSB Limited’s power needs. Sunsure Energy plans to fulfill this commitment through open access power supply to KSB Limited’s multiple facilities in Maharashtra. The arrangement is expected to aid KSB Limited in offsetting 221 million kilograms of CO2 emissions over the next quarter-century, equivalent to the environmental impact of planting 3.5 lakh trees. Mr. Rajeev Jain, Managing Director of KSB Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to a green energy transition and its role in India’s mission for net-zero emissions. He stated that the partnership with Sunsure aligns with KSB Limited’s sustainability goals, contributing significantly to offsetting CO2 emissions and promoting a cleaner and healthier future.
