Hopewind, the China-based global leading renewable energy solutions provider rolls out a trailblazing utility-scale PV solution-HSHV 385K string inverter, which is now officially available in the India market.
According to a recent report by JMK research, India is expected to add 15.5 gigawatt (GW) of new utility-scale solar capacity in the financial year of 23-24. The Indian government stands committed to achieving about 50% of cumulative electric power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030. To meet the said target, utility-scale solar PV will have to be harnessed to its maximum potential. Under this background, Hopewind brings its trailblazing utility-scale PV inverter-HSHV 385K to India to maximize the yields of the ground-based solar plants.
Land is a scarce resource in India, with the per capita availability being lower than that in most countries worldwide. It is difficult to acquire large stretches of open land required by utility-scale solar in remote and isolated locations. Hopewind’s new utility-scale string inverter now can help mitigate this issue. Set with the highest nominal power output-385kW in the industry, HSHV 385K has an impressive max efficiency rating of 99.01%. With a max PV input current of 20A, it is perfectly compatible with both 182mm and 210mm high power modules. By installing high power modules and higher power inverters, less PV modules and inverters will be needed in a big-scaled project, thus reducing the land use.
Challenging harsh environments and conditions
Sands and hot dessert are often seen in India that also pose threats to the steady operation of the utility-scale PV plants as shading losses and derating happen under harsh conditions.
HSHV 385K’s advanced I-V curve scanning function allows O&M workers to quickly and accurately locate on the faulty PV panels that are covered by sands. On the other hand, attributing to it advanced cooling system, efficient inverter performance, excellent electronic components and materials, it can work at full power output without derating at 40 degrees, perfectly adaptive to the hot dessert terrain for utility-scale PV plants in India, yielding more power for the system owners.
Furthermore, its SCR is as low as 1.03, allowing it to work more steadily without disconnecting with the gird under the weak grid conditions, especially in some remote areas with poor grid infrastructures.
