Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) is set to launch more than five new products within the next 18 months using its advanced electric vehicle architecture acti.ev.
On 05 January, 2024, the firm announced that the first product to be launched on this platform will be the electric version of its compact SUV, Punch, known as Punch.ev. The acti.ev platform will serve as the foundation for future offerings in TPEM’s portfolio, with a range of different body styles and sizes.
Furthermore, acti.ev boasts an optimised battery pack design, offering a variety of range options from 300 km to 600 km. The platform also provides choices for front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drives. Additionally, acti.ev supports AC and DC fast charging of up to 150 kW, allowing for a quick addition of approx. 100 km of range in 10 minutes.
The platform is expected to accommodate multiple body styles and has a reinforced structure capable of meeting future safety protocols such as Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. Furthermore, acti.ev is prepared for level two advanced driver assistance systems. |
