Gensol Engineering has been awarded a contract by Sarda Energy & Minerals (SEML), a steel and ferro alloy producer, for a 33 MW AC solar power project in Chhattisgarh. The contract, valued at more than Rs 138.72 crore, is scheduled for completion within a six-month timeline.
Ahmedabad-based company will undertake designing, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), along with commissioning of the solar power facility. The project is scheduled to be completed within six months. The plant will supply power for SEML’s Kharora plant in the state.
This marks Gensols foray into the state as well as strengthening its renewable energy portfolio in the region. The firm has an overall market capitalisation of Rs 3,200 crore, and its Board recently approved a fundraise worth Rs 300 crore.
Gensol Engineering is a part of the Gensol group of companies, has installed ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants with a combined capacity of over 600 MW. Expanding its operations, the company has also established a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility in Pune for production of electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers. |
