The Buenos Aires government signed an agreement for the execution of an electrical work that will benefit more than 370 thousand residents of the municipalities of 9 de Julio, Bragado, Mercedes, Luján, Carlos Casares, Pehuajó and 25 de Mayo, among others.

While the Government of Javier Milei repeats like a mantra the motto “there is no money” and its fans buy merchandising of the fiscal adjustment, the Province of Buenos Aires came out to challenge this chainsaw policy on the most needy and announced a megawork in energy matters.
This is an agreement signed by the management of Axel Kicillof for the execution of an electrical work that will benefit more than 370 thousand Buenos Aires residents of the municipalities of 9 de Julio, Bragado, Mercedes, Luján, Carlos Casares, Pehuajó and 25 de Mayo, among many others that are on Route 5.
In dialogue with AM750, the Undersecretary of Energy of the province of Buenos Aires, Gastón Ghioni, explained that he has the objective of strengthening the electrical system that for years has not been improved consistently with the sustained growth of demand.
“It is a very big work. What we have left now is on that broad line, starting to make them reach each of the locations. Yesterday the bidding process and the 9 de Julio cooperative began. It will have an impact on the entire Route 5 area,” he said.
And, regarding financing in times when the national government seeks to promote a brutal adjustment on the people, he explained that it will be with a logic contrary to that of the privatization of public works.
“With privatizations, and this is what the Government intends, they seek to leave financing on the demand side. Let the users pay for the works. What history shows is that that does not happen,” Ghioni explained.
To which he added: “As this did not happen, a tariff aggregate was created that is administered and the works can be done. Today the users, with support from the Treasury and international funds that we are receiving, are carrying out the works plan.” |
