Work Detail Construction management software vendor Procore Technologies launched its Australia and New Zealand University Programme this month at an event in Sydney co-hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Under the scheme, Procore provides access to software, training, tools, and certifications at no cost to universities, schools, and colleges. Participating institutions get unlimited user licenses and cloud storage. Procore launched the same programme in the US in 2015 in response to clients’ need for graduates who understand how to use technology on projects. The company says it now has around 450 such partnerships in the US. “These schools are educating their students, while future proofing the next generation of talent in the industry through a progressive approach to learning critical digital skills,” Procore said. Tooey Courtemanche, Procore’s chief executive and cofounder, addressed the launch event. CIOB’s Oceania Novus Chair, David McCarthy, praised the role of construction management platforms like Procore in boosting industry productivity. He said CIOB helped connect Procore to university construction departments and advised on training content. “While Procore strives to improve lives within the industry and connect professionals worldwide on a global platform, CIOB focuses on the ethical and scientific aspects of the built environment,” Procore said.
