Maintenance tasks in a canal in Colonia El Simbolar

Personnel from the Río Dulce Irrigation Execution Unit carry out maintenance tasks on the secondary canal that benefits numerous agricultural producers in Colonia El Simbolar and neighboring towns in this region of the Robles department.
The tasks consist of cleaning the edges, roads and reinforcing the canal banks with heavy machinery, in order to prevent possible flooding in part of the urban sector in the event of a rupture.
It should be noted that months ago, there was a bad experience in a sector of the Aion No. 1 neighborhood, which ended up with significant amounts of water in its streets.
The municipal commissioner, Professor Ángel Iñiguez, raised the situation and began negotiations with the director of the organization, Jesús Ibáñez, who provided an immediate response in order to solve and give peace of mind to the residents who live in the urban sector adjacent to the canal that drains large quantities of water.
Finally, Iñíguez thanked “the Provincial Government for the permanent support and responses to each of the concerns raised by the municipality, which are resolved through the various provincial organizations, such as in this case the Del Río Dulce Irrigation Execution Unit.” .
