Norway’s DOF Group has penned a deal with US offshore support vessel owner and operator Bordelon Marine to charter in the Jones Act-compliant ultra-light intervention vessel (ULIV) Connor Bordelon for operations in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The charter starts in March 2024 for a one-year term plus a one-year option.
DOF said it will mobilise two heavy-work class ROVs and survey equipment as part of the integrated spread to ensure client coverage between the end of the charter of Ross Candies in February 2024 and the start of the charter of Cade Candies in 2025.
“The combination of the vessel capability and terms, the Jones Act compliance and its low fuel consumption, makes of the Connor Bordelon one of the most cost-effective IMR and light construction vessel in the Gulf of Mexico for the next two-years offered in combination with the capabilities of the Cade Candies,” said Marco Sclocchi, executive vice president, North America at DOF. |
