With 7.85 MWp, it is the first project developed in the country by the Canadian Frontera Energy, with the support of Enel X, in charge of the design, construction and assembly. The plant located in the department of Meta, has a contracted power of 6.8 MVA.
The Ikotia solar park, of 7.85 MWp, located in Puerto Gaitán, Colombian department of Meta, is generating energy with an availability of 100% of the contracted power, 6.8 MVA, as announced by both the project developer, the Canadian Frontera Energy, like Enel X, in charge of design, construction and assembly.
According to Enel
Ikotia, which means rays of sun in the dialect of the Sikuani ethnic group, is the first plant developed by Frontera Energy. It is made up of 16,800 solar panels, grouped into 402 photovoltaic tables and distributed over 8 hectares of land.
It is expected to generate 11.38 GWh/year, which will be used to power the operations of the CPE-6 oil field.
The construction investment has been estimated at more than 7.5 million dollars.
