Work Detail Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka plays a vital role in connecting the country to the rest of the world. To help reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to its energy requirements, the airport required a reliable and efficient solar power system. The airport selected S.L.A.M Power Solutions, an authorised FIMER channel partner, to design, install, and commission the 117.3 kW solar system. The solution was installed and commissioned in mid-November 2023 using: • 204 x 575 W Jinko Panels • 2 x FIMER PVS-50-TL-SX2 The FIMER PVS-50 three-phase string inverter, designed and manufactured in Italy, delivers outstanding performance with three independent MPPTs, making it perfect for medium to large-scale solar installations. Mr. Manoj Tharaka, from S.L.A.M Power Solutions, emphasised the importance of choosing quality components for such an important project. “We needed to ensure the system would deliver long-lasting performance, which is why we chose FIMER. FIMER is a quality European brand that builds products we know our customers can rely on.” The PVS-50 system is designed for easy installation and reduced installation costs, with the power module and wiring box enclosed in a single compact chassis. It also has hinges and cam latches on the cover for easy interior access. The system is also connected to FIMER’s Aurora Vision platform, allowing S.L.A.M Power Solutions to remotely monitor and manage the solution to ensure it is running efficiently. The airport can now rely on a reliable and efficient solar power system to continue connecting Sri Lanka to the rest of the world.
