The Chilean state banking entity BancoEstado has announced its release to the local financial market of a green bond for 40 million dollars, issued to finance sustainable and environmental works.
Basically, the objective is to promote the financing of eco-housing mortgage loans, which are loans for the purchase of homes with energy efficiency certifications, and projects for the generation of renewable energy, among which are projects associated with solar energy. , photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, among others.
The bank explains that the placement was carried out for a term of 55 years and at a rate of 3.70%.
With this issue, the entity claims to become the first financial institution to place a bond of this type in the Chilean market. |
