Work Detail |
The execution of the systematization of urban drainage began in the northern basin of Alcaraz, department of La Paz. The work will provide a solution to the problems caused by the intense rains in said area. It involves an investment of 270 million pesos. Full size The tasks are executed through the Directorate of Hydraulics, a body dependent on the Ministry of Planning, Infrastructure and Services, and involve a provincial investment of 270,217,999.31 pesos. In this regard, the director of Hydraulics, Cristián Gietz, explained that “the work arose after the municipality of Alcaraz asked us for a hydrological and hydraulic study in the North urban basin (El Sapito neighborhood and Norte neighborhood), due to the inconveniences that produce rainfall phenomena in said area.” Technical details The systematization of urban drainage in the North Basin of Alcaraz, department of La Paz, involves the drainage of excess rainfall from downstream to upstream, through the installation of approximately 3,672 linear meters of curb curb, 19 speed bumps, and 907 linear meters of channel. excavated and approximately 400 linear meters of conduit and rectangular connections. These complementary works are necessary for the collection and conduction of storm drains from the basins considered. The proposed routes are located in the southwest sector of the basin and parallel to Santa Fe and La Paz streets, until discharging into an existing canal near Misiones Street. They consist of open canals and crossing culverts. It is also planned to build curbs on all streets where there is no type of pavement to ensure the correct collection of water in the planned places and to eliminate the mobility of runoff. Finally, it was proposed to place window-type drains, which consist of an opening on the vertical face of the curb, generally depressed with respect to the ditch, with a height of 0.18 (m) and a length of 5 m. The collection chamber is made up of a side discharge channel, a collection chamber and is complemented by a connection pipe with the main collector. |
