PV tracking system manufacturer Antaisolar announced the signing of a supply agreement of 35.757 MWp solar tracking system with Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), one of the largest Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors in India and the Middle-East. This collaboration underscores the shared objective of Antaisolar and L&T to accelerate India’s transition to clean and sustainable energy.
L&T has chosen TAI-Simple (S2), Antaisolar’s self-innovated single-axis solar tracking system, to support the entire project. This tracking system features a patented single slew drive with dual dampers on the sides and excels in both cost-efficiency and stability, significantly reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). TAI-Simple has undergone rigorous testing at the renowned wind tunnel laboratory CPP and is designed in strict accordance with wind tunnel test data. This innovative system effectively ensures the secure operation of solar power plants even under extreme wind and snow conditions. Additionally, it is optimized to seamlessly accommodate large bifacial modules and achieve substantial tracking angles, resulting in an impressive 18.5-24% increase in power generation.
TAI Simple is one of the most simplified trackers available in the market with the minimum number of components to be assembled at the site with the least installation man-hours required during installation. Antai Solar is also providing the highest warranty in the tracking industry which includes a standard warranty of 15 years on structural components and 10 years on electrical and tracking components.
Antaisolar entered the Indian PV market in 2021, establishing a local sales team to provide a rapid response and customized service. AntaiSolar India is offering the highest local content by partnering with multiple local OEMs for the manufacturing of major structural components in India. Antai is fully capable of supplying of carbon steel components manufactured locally in India with an annual capacity of 2.5GWp boosting the local ecosystem by generating local employment and supporting the Make In India initiative.
“We are excited to partner with L&T on this groundbreaking project,” said Vineet Kumar, India Country Manager of Antaisolar, “India’s solar market is very price-sensitive and we are offering an advanced, cost-competitive and innovative tracking system for all types of utility-scale solar power projects. Antai is vigorously expanding its local presence and has established a local warehouse in India to provide maximum support to our local valued clients. Further, we are continuously working on expanding our portfolio in India. “
With the mission of “Raising a Green World.” Antaisolar consistently provides solar tracking systems to global markets, including Europe, South America, MENA, Pacific Asia, Australia, and more. By 2022, its cumulative global shipments had reached 25.4GW. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Antaisolar’s development in the Indian market. |
