The 13th Chubut District of National Highways is advancing in the installation of a brand new asphalt plant. It will be located in the road camp located in the town of Tecka, and is consolidated as the first own production plant that the national organization will have throughout the country.
The property where the modern asphalt plant is installed is located at km 1678 of National Route 40, within the Tecka camp of the 13th Chubut District. There, in addition to building the plant, the site was re-adapted for the installation of its peripheral elements such as: fuel tanks, asphalt tanks and a powerful generating set, which will allow it to operate independently of the local electrical service. .
More than a year ago, the Chubut district of Vialidad Nacional began the administrative and logistical process for the acquisition of this state-of-the-art asphalt plant for the production of hot mix asphalt. Having this material will allow the execution of patching and asphalt layers.
“THIS PLANT COMPLETES ONE CYCLE”
“As part of the National Road conservation plan, the administration made the decision to purchase a compact asphalt plant. It is a plant that produces 40 tons per hour, which solves a long-standing problem, which is the maintenance of Route No. 40, Route No. 259 and Route No. 25, including the Route 40 corridor between Esquel and Bariloche. This hot mix production, which is obviously going to be applied between the months of October to April, will allow us to carry out the maintenance that the road requires of us,” said Julio Otero, head of the 13th Chubut District.
Otero added that, with the incorporation of this asphalt plant, “we complete the cycle that had been organized to carry out adequate maintenance of the road that began in 2021 with the arrival of the patching equipment, the cutters and all the heavy equipment that At the time they were also used to respond to the emergency at km 1830 of Route 3, at the foot of Cerro Chenque. And having this equipment to carry out adequate maintenance, having highly trained personnel, allows us to affirm that we can give a very forceful response throughout the west of the province of Chubut,” he said in conclusion. |
