Work Detail | Razer's flagship 14-inch Blade notebook remained the same on the outside and still packs the same Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU and 16GB of DDR4 memory. Intel says "The new Razer Blade Stealth leverages the efficient performance of 7th Gen Intel Core to give people the power they need to create, watch and play at full capacity in a lovely and ultra-portable design.", touting the improved power over the older Blade Stealth. "As one of the most popular gaming notebooks on the market, the 14" Razer Blade has recently been updated to take advantage of Nvidia's latest GeForce GTX 1060 graphics. It's the new Razer Blade Stealth that has me impressed, with some more CPU options on offer in the Kaby Lake-based Core i7-7500U, replacing the older Core i7-6500U. The Blade Stealth, Razer's 12.5-inch ultrabook, only made its debut in January of this year, but it's already getting its first significant upgrade with a major spec bump. The same Intel HD Graphics 620 are included. As the smallest and lightest Blade laptop in Razer's lineup, the Blade Stealth is not designed specifically for performance gaming and comes without the $399 Razer Core external graphics accelerator (and graphics cards sold separately), but the new internal upgrades should make it a little more powerful if you want to game at lower settings. "Wrapped in a handsome CNC aluminum enclosure measuring in at just 0.7" thick and weighing in at just 4.3lbs, the 14" Razer Blade features Intel's Core i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB DDR4 memory, up to 1TB of PCIe storage and a choice between a 14" IGZO QHD+ 3200×1800 touch display or a 14" IPS Full HD 1920×1080 matte display. For ports, it's still got a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and headphone jack. Now, pricing. Razer has it's new Blade Stealth starting at $999, while the higher-end Blade starts at $1799. Both models are available right now. |
