L&T Construction won significant work orders from the governments of Odisha and Madhya Pradesh on a turnkey basis.
Under its water and effluent treatment business, L&T has secured repeat orders from the Water Resources Department, Odisha, to execute cluster-XXII and cluster-XXV mega lift irrigation projects.
The scope of work includes the implementation of 19 lift irrigation schemes comprising intake points spread across the Manjore reservoir, Brahmani River, Rengali left main canal, Rengali right main canal and Indravati reservoir to irrigate a culturable command area of 28,944 ha in the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal and Nabarangpur.
In addition, work also includes setting up a distribution network, power system connectivity, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the entire commissioned infrastructure for 15 years.
Similarly, L&T has also bagged an add-on order from the Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh, to execute pressurised piped lift irrigation projects to irrigate about 34,942 ha of culturable command area in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. |
