Larsen and Toubro Ltd., commonly known as L&T, witnessed a 0.18 percent increase in its shares following a significant development in its water and effluent treatment business under L&T Construction.
The Government of Odishas water resources department has recently awarded repeat orders for Cluster XXII and Cluster XXV mega lift irrigation projects. These projects encompass a total of 19 schemes aimed at irrigating 28,944 hectares of land spanning across Angul, Dhenkanal, and Nabarangpur districts. Additionally, the scope of work includes the establishment of distribution networks, power system connectivity, and operation and maintenance responsibilities for a 15-year period.
In another notable achievement, L&T has secured an additional order from the Government of Madhya Pradeshs water resources department for pressurized piped lift irrigation projects in the Dewas district, covering an extensive area of 34,942 hectares.
These contract wins highlight L&Ts growing presence in the critical domain of irrigation projects, enhancing its portfolio and contributing to its positive performance in the stock market. |
