The project is being built in the municipality of La Dorada, department of Caldas, with the goal of gradually delivering energy to the National Interconnected System (SIN) starting next December 30.
Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) has announced that the Tepuy photovoltaic park, of 83 MW, located in La Dorada, department of Caldas, already exceeds 62% in its execution, with the goal of gradually connecting to the National Interconnected System (SIN ) starting next December 30.
According to the general manager of EPM, Jorge Andrés Carrillo Cardoso, “to date we have the substation ready with the power transformer installed and prepared to be energized; “We are advancing in the construction of the concrete slabs for the transformation centers and with the process of driving approximately 29 thousand metal structures that will support the solar trackers, on which we will install the nearly 200 thousand bifacial solar panels that Tepuy will have” .
The project, which the largest public service provider in Colombia and owned by the municipality of Medellín began in July of last year , occupies an area of ??220 hectares, in which 199,534 bifacial solar panels, between 540 and 550 W, are being deployed of power.
Carrillo Cardoso added: “the panels are already on the Project property, and the rest of the equipment and cables that will make up the Tepuy Photovoltaic Solar Park are in maritime transport close to arriving in Colombia. The other civil works, such as roads, fencing and drainage, are progressing according to the schedule. “We are working at a good pace and we hope to deliver for the country.”
EPM also provides information on various environmental works, such as the removal of fauna and forestry exploitation. |
