Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T) saw a 0.61 percent increase in its share value following a noteworthy announcement by L&T Constructions water and effluent treatment (WET) business division, which has secured new contracts.
The first contract pertains to an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction order from the Public Health Engineering Department in Rajasthan. This project involves the construction of a Water Supply Project aimed at serving 648 villages in the Chittorgarh District. Forming part of the Jal Jeevan Mission, the projects scope includes the construction of Intake Structures, three Water Treatment Plants with a total capacity of 175 MLD, 1800 kilometers of Transmission and Distribution pipelines, 13 Clear water reservoirs with a combined capacity of 21600 KL, 13 Pump Houses, 31 Overhead Service Reservoirs with a total capacity of 4850 KL, 22,000 Functional Household Tap Connections, and associated Electromechanical and Instrumentation Works. Furthermore, the project encompasses automation and SCADA work and comes with a 10-year Operation & Maintenance commitment.
In addition to this, the WET business division has secured a contract from the Guwahati Water Supply and Sewerage Board in Assam. This contract focuses on the construction and commissioning of the remaining components of the 107 MLD Capacity South Guwahati West Water Supply Project. The projects scope includes 84 kilometers of DI pipeline, 3 kilometers of MS Pipeline, and 4 pre-settling tanks, in addition to associated electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation works for the existing Water Treatment Plant. This initiative is designed to address the water supply needs of the western part of South Guwahati city.
These contract wins have contributed to a positive market response, with L&Ts share value experiencing a modest uptick. |
