Independent Power Producer 02 Power has joined hands with Gateway Terminals India Private Limited (the Indian subsidiary of APM Terminals, one of the worlds leading terminal companies) to supply 10.65 MW worth of captive solar power from its plants in Maharashtra.
The plant boasts capacity to produce 22 million kWh of electricity per year. It will help meet 80% of the terminals power needs while also curbing carbon footprint by 44% (15,092 C02t).
Said Sunay Mukerjee, COO of GTI, "I am delighted to ink this power purchase agreement with 02 Power. By signing this agreement, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment and community. The power agreement marks a significant step forward in our decarbonisation journey."
