The future building will have a covered area of ??9,000 square meters.
The current hospital will be refunctionalized to care for long-stay patients.
Four companies submitted bids for the construction of the new building for the Bell Ville Hospital. These are the firms AMG Obras Civiles SA, Riva SAIICFA and the Transitory Business Union (UTE) made up of Sadic SA and Mandelectric IIISA
The new facility will be located in the northern sector of the lot occupied by the current hospital and will allow the optimization and increase of the populations health care capacity. It will total 9,000 square meters, which will allow the concentration of specialties that currently operate in isolated buildings. In addition, it will have state-of-the-art medical equipment.
The José A. Ceballos hospital currently serves a population of almost 120,000 inhabitants, including residents of the capital city of the Unión department and other towns in the area.
The projected infrastructure will allow the strengthening of pediatrics, obstetrics, neonatology, traumatology, general surgery and intensive care units (ICU) services for adults.
In detail
The new hospital will house 100 new beds, which will increase the current capacity by more than 25. In addition, 22 beds will be allocated for patients with acute mental health treatment, replacing the 18 existing positions in external buildings.
The new ICU room will have four new beds and the number of offices will rise to 36, which will be complemented by eight more from the Guard, while the eight ICU and eight Neonatology beds will be maintained.
The diagnostic imaging service will have a tomograph, resonator, seriograph, radiology, ultrasound and mammography; with digital development.
The work is completed with services such as laboratory, hemotherapy, endoscopy, pathological anatomy, pharmacy, sterilization center and other complementary and support areas.
It should be noted that the hospital will have a photovoltaic installation, which will use renewable energy to cover approximately 20% of its energy consumption, thus contributing to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
Finally, the re-functionalization of the current polyclinic will also be carried out, to accommodate 120 beds for long-stay patients due to disabling clinical-neurological pathologies with some dual component (psychiatric).
