This has been agreed between TrinaTracker and Power Construction Corporation of China (Powerchina). These are the Vanguard 1P model, intelligent algorithms and Trina Smart Cloud platforms.
Chinese smart solar tracking solutions provider TrinaTracker has announced the signing of a solar tracker supply agreement with Power Construction Corporation of China (Powerchina), for 108 MW of its smart tracking systems, including Vanguard 1P trackers, intelligent algorithms and Trina Smart Cloud platforms, destined for the Tepuy photovoltaic park.
The Tepuy solar park, located in La Dorada, department of Caldas, is developed by Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM), the largest public service provider in Colombia and owned by the municipality of Medellín. Powerchina is responsible for the EPC that includes the design, supply, construction, installation and commissioning of the photovoltaic plant, while TrinaTracker is presented as the exclusive supplier of the project.
It should be remembered that last August EPM announced that the plant - which in all communications supplied by the Colombian company is recognized as having a capacity of 83 MW (96.7 MWp) - had already reached 53% completion , " with the completion of 100% of the works on the voltage boosting substation, with the auxiliary services, civil works and installed equipment and, in factory tests, the power transformer”, as reported in a timely manner.
The project occupies an area of ??220 hectares, in which 199,534 bifacial solar panels are being deployed, with between 540 and 550 W of power. It is expected to be in operation towards the end of this year.
TrinaTracker, which is part of Trina Solar, explains in a statement that Vanguard 1P trackers “are designed for large solar plants on flat land,” with a design that requires “fewer drive systems and controllers per megawatt, reducing costs.” of material and saves hours of labor during the installation of the project.”
"The smaller number of foundation piles - it is added - makes the product better suited to cleaning robots, and the double shock absorber systems reduce the possibility of followers being damaged in strong winds."
The company claims that the intelligent tracking system “can increase energy generation by up to 8% compared to conventional solar tracking systems.” |
