Work Detail The Ministry of Public Works of the Nation, through National Roads, awarded the work of transforming National Route 33 into a highway, in the section between the Access to San Eduardo and Murphy (RP 94). The national governments investment reaches a contract amount of $66,714 million to build 39 kilometers of the new highway and has an execution period of three years. The contracting company that presented the best offer and passed the qualification stages is the Transitional Business Union (UTE) made up of SE.MI. SA, VIALTEC SA and C&E CONSTRUCCIONES SA. The awarded highway begins at the access of RN 33 to San Eduardo and develops with a duplication of the road along the current route until near Venado Tuerto. From that point on, the double expressway takes a new route with a variant passing through the north of the city of Venado Tuerto until reaching the town of Murphy, on RP 94. On this route, 39 kilometers, about 16 kilometers correspond to the duplication of the road while the rest represents the construction of both roads with several interchanges and returns at different levels. In this sense, the general administrator of National Roads, Gustavo Arrieta, stated: “These are the works that transform the productive matrix of our country into an essential communication route for agricultural-livestock production and the connection with the ports of Greater Rosario. , are the works that National Roads carries out to transform the lives of all Argentines due to the political decision to put Public Works on its feet that was assumed from the beginning by President Alberto Fernández, Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis”. Regarding the project, it can be detailed that the highway will have an interchange west of Venado Tuerto, where it will connect with the future RN 8 bypass of the city. From that junction the highway will continue for 23 kilometers along a new route until it reaches the north of Murphy. In this way, the highway will pass through the north of Venado Tuerto, with a new interchange on RN 8 that will allow access to the urban fabric, plus another nearby intersection that will make it possible to enter through Santa Fe Avenue. At the end of the route to be built, another interchange will be built to connect Murphy from the north via RP 94. It should be noted that all of these new accesses will be paved within the framework of the awarded work. Likewise, in rural sections, the highway modality established that crossings be left at different levels, especially in coincidence with the main transversal rural roads. At these points, front users will be able to access the highway from dirt collectors. The width of the road to accommodate the two carriageways, shoulders, central bed, ditches and collectors will reach 120 meters. With this space it will be possible, if necessary, to expand one lane per lane, which provides foresight for the future to meet traffic growth. In summary, the contract to be signed establishes the execution of 39 kilometers of highway, with eight distributors with bridges, within a work period of 36 months. Likewise, on the current duplication route, the existing road will be repaved and adapted to the highway format, with internal and external shoulders also paved. Other tenders to be awarded In another order, National Roads is advancing with the evaluation of offers to award two other tenders carried out for the improvement and maintenance of RN 33. On the one hand, the assignment of the repaving work will be determined in a short time between Zavalla and Pujato, a contract that will also include interventions in the urban crossings of both towns and in the RN 33 interchange with RN A012. On the other hand, the proposals received in the tender that will assign maintenance and conservation works for the corridor are analyzed, from the city of Rosario to the access to San Eduardo. In this case, these are partial patching and resurfacing tasks, with the construction of concrete roadways at most of the traffic signalized intersections, plus grass cutting and general conservation actions for two years. It is worth highlighting that, between both tenders in the process of being awarded, National Roads plans to allocate another $11,672 million in improvement and maintenance works for RN 33, thanks to resources allocated by the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation.
