Based in Pleasanton, California Simpson Strong-Tie, a pioneer in designed structural connections and building solutions for the construction industry, celebrated the opening of its new distribution hub in Kent, Building No. 3 at 20210 66th Ave. S., on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
The company’s primary product is wood connectors, although it also manufactures metal dowels, chemical fasteners, and magazine screws.
According to a Sept. 14 Simpson Strong-Tie media release, the new hub features warehouse facilities, office space, training centres, and a newly constructed, two-story show area to accommodate contractors and timber and construction material suppliers for project and product training seminars.
Simpson Strong-Tie moved into the building as part of a strategic investment to strengthen the company’s distribution reach in the United States. The new facility is one of three grand openings in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain areas in a row. New facilities in Denver and Salt Lake City, together with the Kent distribution centre, add 230,000 total square feet of inventory space. This is Simpson Strong-Tie effort to enhance its U.S. supply chain. |
