The Buenos Aires Highway Administrator assured that the contract is about to be signed with the company that won the tender. The Buenos Aires Highway Administrator, Hernán Y Zurieta, confirmed that the award of the work on the Route 11 Highway between Villa Gesell and Mar Chiquita is expected to be signed soon, which will allow work to begin. In an interview with Radio Provincia, the official announced that in the coming days the award of the work to the company that won the tender will be signed. “We are days away from awarding that work. It was already put out to tender, there were quite a few offers. And we are arriving just a few days after that great news of the signing of the contract award,” said Y Zurieta. The Buenos Aires official emphasized that it is very important “that this work that will change the connectivity of the region begins soon.” Also in dialogue with Radio Provincia, the Highway Administrator referred to the work on Route 56 and explained that “at the intersection of that road with Route 11, a distributor is being built, which will have a high-rise pass and another below, to organize traffic in what is now a roundabout.” THE WORK It is worth remembering that in the month of April, the construction work of the Highway Provincial Route Nº11 was put out to tender, in the section between the towns of Villa Gesell and Mar Chiquita. The work includes resurfacing and construction of paved shoulders on both roadways and the duplication of 7 bridges and 54 culverts. The works tendered were the following: Section 1: begins at the Villa Gesell Access Roundabout and ends at Channel 5, over a length of 39.4 km, with a budget of $13,066,860,210. Section 2: includes the section that begins at Channel 5 and ends in Mar Chiquita, over a length of 33.00 km, with an official investment of $12,219,892,110. This intervention, which exceeds 25 billion pesos, has partial financing from the Inter-American Development Bank. |
