The work, which will require an investment of more than US$36 million, will improve the supply to 50,000 users in the northern center of the capital city.
At the headquarters of the Federal Council of Electrical Energy in the Federal Capital, the opening ceremony was held with the technical offers for the construction of the Mayoraz Transformer Station, its high and medium voltage links.
The project has the participation of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, the Secretariat of Energy of the Nation, the Federal Council of Electric Power, the Trust Fund for Federal Electric Transportation (FFTEF), Federal Program of Electric Energy Transportation, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Provincial Energy Company of Santa Fe (EPE).
On the occasion, two technical offers were presented that, once the evaluation instance has been passed by the credit entities, will have the possibility of making the economic offer. These are the companies CGGC-Estructuras-EICSSA UT Santa Fe and Integración Eléctrica Sur Argentina SA – Teyma Abengoa SA.
The Minister of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, Silvina Frana, who participated via zoom, said that "we celebrate the possibility of financing this work, not as an isolated event, but within the framework of a policy that this government gave itself, of "improve and strengthen the energy matrix of the province of Santa Fe."
Frana pointed out that “very important investments were made to respond to the growing demand. The minister conveyed “the greeting and gratitude of Governor Omar Perotti to the National Government, especially to the Secretariat of Energy and the organizations that finance this investment, because it is very important in the context of the work that the EPE has been carrying out in the province.”
For his part, the president of the EPE, Mauricio Caussi, who participated in the event, said that “Santa Fe recovers financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the French Development Agency (AFD). ), for an electrical work that will mean an investment of more than U$S 36 million”.
Caussi pointed out that “this project is also the result of the interdisciplinary work of different areas of the company, which aims to materialize one of the most important investments in management. This management emphasized public investment, for which we developed 247 projects to expand the provincial system for $25,000 million, and this is the most significant”.
The head of the EPE remarked that “investments like these are what allowed us to face the most demanding summer in the last 62 years, with better rates of service quality. Political decision to invest and commitment of all the companys workers are what make these achievements possible."
The head of the Administration Committee of the Trust Fund for Federal Electric Transportation, Alberto Kozinki, gave "special recognition to the technical team of the EPE and the representation of the province of Santa Fe in the Federal Electric Energy Council, for the follow-up of the processes that led to choosing this project to be financed within the framework of this program.”
The work
The Mayoraz 132/33/13.2 kV Transformer Station will be located in the area on the property located on 1° de Mayo Street between Lavaise and Llerena streets. It will be the first installation in the city of Santa Fe with GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) technology, this means that they use this fluid for the electrical insulation of its different components.
The new facility will increase the capacity to transport electrical energy to meet new demand, and will improve the reliability and efficiency of the electrical system.
In the last period, the EPE granted, within the area of ??influence of the Santa Fe Norte and Centro stations, approximately 65 supply feasibility to buildings and urban subdivisions with maximum simultaneous power demands greater than 100 kW.
For a 10-year analysis period, with the entry into service of the Mayoraz ET, it is possible to reduce the energy not supplied by 93%, projected in the study subsystem made up of the Santa Fe Centro, Mayoraz and Norte stations.
The project also includes the provision of transformers for the Catamarca stations, in the city of Rosario and another in the city of Vera, which are currently under construction.
