Work Detail Diversified group ITC is likely to invest approx. Rs 1,500 crore for setting up an integrated food manufacturing including logistics facility, and a sustainable packaging products facility at Sehore in Madhya Pradesh. On 03 September, 2023, a foundation laying ceremony was held in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. These two projects, spanning over an area of nearly 57 acres, would boost agricultural and manufacturing sectors as well as support livelihoods across the sustainable value chain in the state. The food plant would produce products such as atta brand Aashirvaad, Sunfeast biscuits, and YiPPee! noodles. The moulded fibre products facility is likely to be a pioneer in sustainable packaging and will contribute to plastic substitution in areas such as packaging for electronic items, FMCG. These facilities are being designed to IGBC green building Platinum standards. These two projects would entail an overall investment outlay of Rs 1,500 crore. Apart from the upcoming projects, the company has seven co-manufacturing facilities for foods and agarbatti, which supports local entrepreneurship.
