The envelopes for the tender for the construction of the Valles Calchaquíes gas pipeline were opened
Accompanied by the Minister of Infrastructure Sergio Camacho, and mayors of the communes of Salta and Tucumán who will benefit from the work, Sáenz stressed the importance of the pipeline, which will have a positive impact on the quality of life of 35,000 inhabitants and will favor agro-industrial, commercial and tourist enterprises in the area.
"The three offers presented represent the dreams and hopes of thousands of people who have been waiting for the completion of the Gas Pipeline for 30 years," Sáenz remarked.
Along these lines, he stressed: "We will demand and insist that all candidates for president with certain possibilities guarantee that this emblematic work and others already tendered, under construction and those promised, materialize" and do not remain in "work posters as has already happened when there were changes of government”.
For his part, Minister Camacho explained that in its first stage the pipeline will cover the provinces of Salta and Tucumán with the installation of 7 pressure regulating stations and later its expansion to towns in Catamarca is expected. "It is a large-scale gas pipeline that puts two regions of Salta, plus those of Tucumán, facing the future and also speaks of the integration of the Norte Grande," the minister emphasized.
The mayors of Trancas, Roberto Moreno and of San Pedro de Colalao, Walter Mamaní, were present at the event; the mayors of Animaná, Rolando Guaymás; from El Jardín, Carlos López, and from El Tala, Daniel Ponce; the elected president of Cafayate, Rita Guevara and the Secretary of Planning Laura Caballero, representatives of the bidding companies, among other authorities.
