Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has floated a tender to develop 114 MW ground-mounted solar power projects at Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Companys (MPPGCL) thermal power project sites in three different districts.
The last date for the submission of bids is September 22,2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.
The proposed solar power capacities for the three thermal power generating stations are as follows: Site A, known as the Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station located in Birsinghpur, is set to have a solar project with a capacity of 31.6 MW.
Site B, the Amarkantak Thermal Power Station in Chachai, will have a solar project capacity of 38.6 MW. Lastly, Site C, the Shree Singaji Thermal Power Station in Khandwa, is proposed to have a solar power capacity of 43.8 MW.
Collectively, the cumulative capacity of these three sites is projected to
be 114 MW.

Power procured by MPPGCL from the above projects has been provisioned to replace thermal power through the existing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of MPPGCL with the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company. If the thermal generator is not able to replace thermal power, then the solar power may be sold in Exchange as per the provisions of the Flexibility Program.
MPPGCL will provide the land for the development of the project. |
