Work Detail |
While the National University of Hurlingham develops various research projects that involve solar energy, the National Technological University of Rafaela inaugurates a plant for self-consumption. Two universities, through different projects, use photovoltaic energy; On the one hand, the National University of Hurlingham (UNAHUR), in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires, has various research developments; on the other, the National Technological University (UTN) of Rafaela, in Santa Fe, installed a plant. In the case of UNAHUR, a plant made up of 40 panels, with a power of 10 kW, is installed on one of its properties. At the same time that the system energizes part of the electrical consumption of the building, its research activity is complemented by a series of meteorological measurement instruments. The latter are used to analyze the state of the sky in the short and medium term and specifically calculate how much energy can be provided by the panels. They also use a camera to take images of the sky to correlate them with the activity of the solar installation. In the case of the Rafaela UTN, the provincial government allocated 2 million pesos (5.2 thousand dollars) for the installation of a photovoltaic plant that will provide collaborative renewable energy to different buildings of the institution. The action is part of the Renewable Energy Program for the Environment (ERA) of the government of Santa Fe. |
