Work Detail Biwatt Power, a Chinese manufacturer, has developed new residential sodium-ion batteries with an efficiency rating of 97% and an expected life of more than 3,000 cycles. Chinese company Biwatt Power has introduced new integrated solar energy storage solutions for residential applications. “Its intelligent home energy management platform integrates a cloud-based battery management system (BMS), which provides multiple safety protections and failure warnings for homeowners,” the manufacturer explains in a statement. “The unique Active Sodium Ion Balancing (SIB) technology effectively extends battery cycle life, allowing users to use the product for longer.” The I.Power Nest solution measures 600mm x 810mm x 155mm and weighs 60kg. They have an efficiency of 97% and an expected useful life of more than 3,000 cycles. The capacity of its cells is 75 Ah and the nominal voltage of the battery is 48 V. The maximum DC power is 6 kW and the maximum input voltage is 500 V. The batteries also have a MPPT voltage range of 120V to 450V and a maximum MPPT input current of 13A. Additionally, they feature IP21 enclosures and a forced-air-based cooling system. A smart app allows users to effortlessly control the use of electricity at home and switch between various modes of operation, making the use of electricity more convenient and worry-free, they say from Biwatt Power. The company is headquartered in Shenzhen, in the Chinese province of Guangdong. Manufactures batteries and embedded technologies for solar energy storage and electric vehicle charging.
