Norwegian company Sunlit Sea, a provider of prefabricated floating photovoltaic systems, has supplied its floats for a 60 kW floating array installed at a water park in Germany.
Sunlit Sea is bringing its solar PV floats to wakeboarding and water ski parks through a partnership with Rixen Cableway, a German provider of water sports equipment.
Initially, Rixen was trained by Sunlit Sea on the installation of a 60 kW prefabricated system for a waveboard leisure park in Mannheim, Germany.
“In the case of Rixen, we offered training during the first installation,” explains Christoffer Isdahl, Sunlit Seas marketing director, to pv magazine . “However, we also offer our advice during installation, especially when it comes to a one-time installation ”.
“This is the first partnership deal where Rixen will leverage their position for us to supply the technology to other park owners,” explained Isdahl, adding that Rixen has been supplying boatless waveboard and waterski cable systems for years. sixty.
When asked about the modules used in this application, Isdahl said, “The modules are supplied by MetSolar, and they are regular specification, standard width but non-standard length, custom.”
MetSolar is a Lithuanian manufacturer of custom integrated photovoltaic modules. The 537 W panels have dimensions of 1.88 mx 1.88 m and a weight of 60 kg. The float allows a distance of 15 cm between the panels, which consist of 10 cm x 10 cm monocrystalline cells with fully tempered glass. |
