At the heart of the resort stands the iconic main arrival building, a towering architectural masterpiece rising 35m above the ground. This awe-inspiring structure, partially cloaked in locally-sourced thatch, pays homage to the country’s pyramids while symbolising a remarkable intersection of the past and the present, blending the natural with the artificial, while also being inspired by the enchanting seashell of the Egyptian Red Sea.

The resort’s architectural design champions eco-conscious practices, exemplified by the use of recyclable thatched roof materials that significantly reduce the carbon footprint.
Smart room management systems further optimise energy usage, ensuring a comfortable environment for guests while minimising waste. In addition, JT+Partners has also implemented a guest room management system that efficiently controls lighting and cooling. When rooms are unoccupied or when windows and doors are open, the system automatically switches to non-occupied mode, minimising power and AC consumption. These measures not only contribute to reducing energy waste but also ensure a comfortable and eco-conscious stay for the guests.

Leveraging locally sourced materials and employing innovative construction methods, the team expedited the delivery process without compromising their sustainability goals.
JT+Partners’ also incorporated a comprehensive ‘Back of House’ area to house critical infrastructure, complementing the resort’s sustainability efforts. Here, integrated desalination and sewage treatment facilities underline responsible resource management, while the landscape design featuring local, salt-tolerant flora minimises water usage and enhancing the resort’s aesthetic appeal.
