Personnel from the Río Dulce Irrigation Executive Unit carry out maintenance tasks on the secondary channel that benefits numerous agricultural producers from Colonia El Simbolar and neighboring towns in this region of the Robles department.
The tasks consist of cleaning the edges, roads and reinforcement of the canal banks with heavy machinery, in order to prevent possible flooding in part of the urban sector in case of rupture.
It should be noted that months ago, there was a bad experience in a sector of the Aion No. 1 neighborhood, which ended with significant amounts of water in its streets.
The municipal commissioner, Professor Ángel Iñiguez, raised the situation and began negotiations with the agencys director, Jesús Ibáñez, who provided an immediate response to thus solve and give peace of mind to the residents who live in the urban sector adjacent to the canal that derives large amounts of water.
Finally, Iñíguez thanked "the Provincial Government for the permanent accompaniment and responses to each of the concerns raised by the municipality, which are resolved through the various provincial agencies, as in this case the Del Río Dulce Irrigation Executing Unit " .
