Agroecology of Médano de Oro Rawson. The Municipality of the City of Rawson informs that the agreement for the realization of the Agroecological Productive Pole Project of Médano de Oro was signed. The Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, together with the head of the Unit for Interjurisdictional Integration of Public Works, Oscar Minteguía, and the director of Institutional Relations, María Pía Vallarino, together with the Mayor of Rawson, Ruben Garcia. The Agroecological Productive Pole Project of Médano de Oro is being worked on by the Directorate of Agricultural Livestock Production, in conjunction with the Association of United Asparagus Growers of Médano de Oro and the Colmenares del Tulúm Beekeeping Cooperative. It seeks to respond to local needs of the agricultural sector through the creation of spaces to add value at source that promote the strengthening of value chains, allowing the participation of the groups present in the different links that comprise them to be expanded. Vertical integration in agri-food value chains favors their social empowerment while facilitating more equitable access to the income that it generates, fosters the creation of local employment, the construction of social capital and the development of a more inclusive production model. . Said project consists of the construction of two sheds; one for the asparagus sector, for selection, washing, packaging and cold storage of the asparagus until its subsequent sale; the other shed is intended for the beekeeping sector, for the extraction and fractioning of honey until its subsequent commercialization. It is mentioned that the administration of both spaces will be carried out through the co-management model between the Municipality of Rawson with the aforementioned Association and Cooperative.
