H2V Challenge Contest: The challenge of Green Hydrogen in the Valparaíso region summons high school and university students to design a business scheme that develops this energy vector.
Organized by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Energy (Seremi) of the Valparaíso region, the Faculty of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) and the H2in Multidisciplinary Research Project, the call has been presented to students of secondary education and under the title H2V Challenge Contest: The challenge of Green Hydrogen in the Valparaíso region.
The objective is that work teams are formed under the challenge of analyzing a real problem of a company in the region, seeking an adequate dimensioning of a green hydrogen value chain and with the capacity to supply the necessary consumption for its development.
The proposal implies a previous training day in hydrogen technologies and economic analysis, in addition to the assistance of an external tutor who will accompany the team during the participation.
There will also be a database with relevant information, which includes articles, costs, technical sheets, among others, to support the development of proposals.
According to a statement, it is explained that the business proposal will include "aspects such as the understanding and basic analysis of the companys energy consumption, opportunities to incorporate or replace other forms of energy with Green Hydrogen, basic calculations that support the conceptual design , H2V chain process schematics and a simplified economic analysis”.
In addition to a diploma and a certificate that accredits the training received, the participants will receive a demonstrative green hydrogen laboratory kit for the educational establishment that obtains first place, along with tablets for each student and teacher of the winning establishment.
The H2V Challenge Contest is aimed at students from PUCV and from educational establishments with scientific-humanistic or technical-professional secondary education in the region. |
