Work Detail Fujitsu Australia has been awarded three contracts worth a total value of $8.5 million to supply Cisco equipment to two NSW hospitals.

The contracts with HealthShare will see core Cisco ICT wired network switching and wireless access networking deployed to both the Sutherland and St George Hospitals.

In total, Fujitsu will deploy more than 400 switches and 2,000 wireless access points.

A department spokesperson said: "System management and monitoring licences have been included for the operational management of the equipment once it is installed and configured."

The new ICT infrastructure is part of the redevelopment of both hospitals and will support clinical, corporate and administrative functions for the hospitals.

Two contracts were issued for the Sutherland Hospital valued at $2 million, with the duration until June 2017, and $685,000 with duration until December 2016.

The contract for the St George Hospital was valued at $5.8 million and runs from July 2016 to June 2017.

Fujitsu is a Cisco Gold partner and a CRN MVP for its top tier partnership with vendors like EMC, HPE and HP.
