Ircon International (IRCON) has been awarded a contract worth Rs 80 crore by the Workshop Projects Organization (WPO) of the Indian Railways for composite works such as civil, electrical and mechanical in connection with detachment-free rake examination facilities (Phase-II) at the exchange yard of Bondamunda, South Eastern Railway.
In addition to supplying and commissioning specified mechanical machinery (EOT cranes), the contract involves the construction of an industrial shop with a pre-engineered building (PEB), water supply system, drainage system, electrification and illumination works, and associated telecom works.
The entire work is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of issue of letter of acceptance (LoA).
The WPO, Indian Railways, is a statutory body under the ownership of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India (GoI). |
