The Ahmedabad Railway Station Project in India has announced the official conclusion of its pre-bid meetings. RLDA (Rail Land Development Authority) held a successful meeting, with all vendors, as well as prospective bidders, in attendance. prominent construction houses such as G.R. Infra, AFCONS, and Thoth Infrastructure Ltd. were also present. Alongside, Dilip Buildcon, L&T, KEC International, Ayesa India Pvt. Ltd and SID Constructions.
According to an official statement, the Ahmedabad Railway Station Project’s redevelopment will be on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) agreement. At an estimate, its cost is reported to be Rs 2563 crores.
In a nutshell, Ahmedabad Railway Station Project’s bidding process will include a single-stage two-packet procedure. Submission for e-bidding will end on September 05, 2023. Thereafter, the opening for technical e-bids will begin on September 08, 2023.
Ahmedabad Railway Station Project Impressive Transport Integration
While speaking about the project, RLDA’s Vice Chairman said that it will integrate various forms of transport. These include BRT, High Speed, Metro as well as Railway. Moreover, Ved Parkash Dudjeda further added that the project strives to protect heritage structures. Its master plan design aims to prioritize ample parking integration and smooth traffic flow. Additionally, the Vice Chairman noted, the conclusion of pre-bid meetings brings the development closer to a major milestone accomplishment for the region.
The project’s scope of work will feature the undertaking of MEP and civil works for the station building. Furthermore, the project will include Multi-Modal Transit Hub (MMTH) Buildings, dedicated access roads (ELevated/At-Grade) alongside Iconic Parcel Building.
Taking it a step further, the renovated station will also include retail spaces, recreational facilities, and cafeterias. Furthermore, it will feature a spacious roof plaza with a wide array of passenger amenities. Upon completion, the development will feature clutter-free planforms and improved surfaces for passenger comfort. |
