Work Detail The Panamanian company Santiago Solar PTY has awarded the Spanish Urbas Energy the development of seven solar plants in Panama, for a total installed capacity of 87.5 MWp. The Spanish Urbas Energy has been awarded the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of seven solar plants in Panama with a total installed capacity of 87.5 MWp, for Santiago Solar PTY. In a statement, it is explained that the contract covers the execution under the EPC (turnkey) modality of the seven plants, located in the township of San Bartolo, in the district of La Mesa, province of Veraguas. The installation will comprise more than 135,000 bifacial panels, transformation centers, medium voltage lines and a 230 kV booster substation. Work is expected to begin imminently, with the possibility of generating 200 direct and indirect jobs. The project reportedly has financing from BAC Credomatic and a term power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with the Enel group.
