Mar del Plata – The first call did not have companies interested in carrying out the works budgeted at $320 million.
The first call for bids to carry out work to recondition and add value to the San Martín Pedestrian was closed without the presentation of bidding companies to carry out the works. The government projects an investment of $320 million for that downtown area of ??the city.
As has happened in various bidding processes in recent times, in which the lack of bidders is a common denominator, as well as the presentation of offers well above the official budgets in a critical inflationary context, in the opening of envelopes to carry out works on the San Martín Pedestrian, there was no interested company.
This was established in the minutes of the opening of envelopes that took place on Thursday as part of the tender to face the work called "Microcentro Pedestrian Priority", which consists of an investment of $320 million and different types of tasks that will actually begin at the intersection of San Martín with Yrigoyen street and will extend to Entre Ríos.
The project, in the first place, aims at a "reconditioning and urban integration" of the section between Yrigoyen and San Luis street. There they will seek to unify spaces for pedestrian traffic and reduce the road for vehicular use. They will also seek improvements in lighting and "modernize" urban equipment.
Likewise, and after the claims that arose at the political level due to the state of the structures, it also includes the "enhancement of the deck areas of the San Martín Pedestrian in its entirety." Thus, between San Luis and Entre Ríos they will carry out a change of the wooden decks for another of PVC, while they will also carry out the maintenance of wooden benches.
For its part, between Miter and San Luis the existing flooring will be changed, the drainage system will be adapted, a "re-execution" of the existing white handkerchiefs of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo will be carried out, lighting fixtures will be relocated, flowerpots will be repaired, benches and chess tables will be placed, and waste baskets will be incorporated.
As soon as the tender was launched from the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association, they showed their state of alert since the specification plans to carry out a "re-execution" on the white handkerchiefs painted at the intersection with the Miter, without knowing the scope of the measure. It is that despite the fact that the official documentation provides, in advance, "agree and give intervention" to human rights organizations to determine the type of paint, molds and distribution, this did not happen until after the bidding process began.
The works, budgeted at 320,736,849 pesos, are part of the agreement signed by Mayor Guillermo Montenegro with Governor Axel Kcillof within the framework of the Municipal Infrastructure Fund, called "Municipalities for Work." |
