“In March 2020 we met with Governor Oscar Ahuad to talk about the judicialization of Campo San Juan and we proposed to do a co-management. “The creation decree for the park has been in place for a year and we already have these works that will benefit the entire region, the visitors who come to enjoy the sighting of fauna and flora, those who appreciate the architectural and historical aspects. , the archaeological”, added the minister, who highlighted Misiones for being an example in the conservation and preservation of biodiversity: “We must compensate provinces such as Misiones that protect the environment, flora and fauna and generate ecosystem goods that benefit the whole of the region"
For his part, the Governor thanked the Minister for his presence and work. “It was a story of a lot of struggle to be able to preserve this Argentine heritage that has a strong missionary feeling. The idea of ??being able to co-manage it is magnificent since it will transcend the governments of the day, regardless of the political sign. This offer that we open to the community has to be from the community”, stressed Ahuad. “In us is the responsibility of continuing to value the historic center, the conservation of roads, the possibility of having services, energy. This opening makes me very happy, because this is the true example that overcomes all cracks”, closed the missionary governor.
For Natalia Jauri, «the Park offers a quality visit to explore nature and the history it keeps inside. This new park offers a series of alternatives that were achieved after a first stage that had an investment of 12 million pesos. Now comes a second stage of 150 million to continue conditioning and deepening the use of the public. Likewise, the vice president of APN stated: "We work with all local actors, such as municipalities and regional producers to offer products that interest visitors."
In addition, Cabandié endorsed the agreement signed between Natalia Jauri and the mayor of Santa Ana, Pablo Castro for the "Sustainable Management of Urban Plant Waste" project, within the framework of the transfer program to municipalities linked to national protected areas and their buffer zone.
The opening of the park took place within the framework of "More works, better parks", the program that allocates more than 300 million pesos to carry out 120 improvement works in protected areas throughout the country. In particular, for this federal park, more than $12.5 million were invested in operational infrastructure, drilling for water extraction, purchase of tools, signage, construction of viewpoints, bird observatory, and opening of trails.
