At the beginning of June, the educational community of the Instituto Superior del Profesorado No. 8 "Almirante Guillermo Brown" organized and demonstrated at the corner of Bulevar and 25 de Mayo in the city of Santa Fe to expedite the bidding for the construction project of own building.
Days after the protest, the provincial government set the date for the tender for the new building and, finally, the opening of offers ended on Tuesday, July 18, and was headed by the governor himself. Omar Peroti.
The new work will be located on Castellanos and Güemes in the provincial capital and will have 11 floors and a covered area of ??6,465 m² and a semi-covered area of ??417.00 m². The tasks have an official budget of $3,379,214,723.23 and a work period of 630 days.

The work for the Admiral Brown building itself
The new building of the institute will be located in Castellanos and Güemes, behind the Government House; and will have a covered area of ??6,465 m² and a partially covered area of ??417.00 m².
It will have an open ground floor, 11 floors, a basement and a technical terrace. The main access will be located on the ground floor, with an accessible staircase and ramp, access/guard, hall, main vertical circulation block (3 elevators/stairs), access staircase to the basement/summary with an accessible sanitary block; and semi-covered space for collective recreational use.
On the first floor will be the address, secretaries, meeting room, kitchen with storage, vertical circulation block (3 elevators/stairs), sanitary and accessible block, multipurpose space. In the second, the regency, headquarters, press room, meeting room, archive, concierge with storage, kitchen, vertical circulation block (3 elevators/stairs), sanitary and accessible block, multipurpose space; and in the third, library, self-management room, living room, archive, dining room, vertical circulation block (3 elevators/stairs), toilet block and accessible and multipurpose space.

On floors 4 to 10 there will be classrooms, a vertical circulation block (3 lifts/stairs), a sanitary and accessible block and a multipurpose space. On the fourth floor there will be classrooms-auditoriums; in the fifth, natural sciences laboratory; in the sixth, augmented reality classroom; in the seventh, goal with storage and kitchen; in the eighth, education for the deaf and language laboratory; in the ninth, an accompaniment and trajectory classroom; and in the tenth, student center and dining room.
Finally, the 11th floor will have a multipurpose room for 200 people, a room for body expression, a kitchen with a storage room, a vertical circulation block (3 elevators/stairs), a toilet block and an accessible multipurpose space; and a technical terrace, with equipment, solar panels, vertical circulation block (elevators/stairs), urban and landscaped.
In addition, the construction of an auditorium, for official use of the provincial government, and a public recreational area of ??670 m² are planned.
The auditorium, for official use by the provincial government, will have a covered area of ??483 m² and a capacity for 170 people, with the possibility of access from Institute No. 8, through the basement, with a foyer, main hall, office, storage, sanitary and accessible block, kitchen, vertical circulation block (elevator/stairs).
The project was designed prioritizing accessibility, spatial flexibility, connectivity, natural lighting, natural cross ventilation, renewable energy, spaces for recreational use, spaces for expansion and learning, self-management, and storage/changing rooms.
The building will have a reinforced concrete and metal structure, lightweight partitions, high-performance openings, anodized aluminum sunshades, glass skin, technical metal walkway, removable acoustic ceilings, mosaic floors and granite cladding, solar panels, urban equipment and landscaped. |
